This month I decided to try out the Pentax MV is a few more difficult situations. Low light, sunstars (which I am sad to say the lens did produce a sunstar… but not a pretty one!) and golden hour.
Normally I shoot in full sun with nice bright light like this photo. I’m also happy I found this old school house still standing, many of them are now gone and this one won’t be around much longer either, the back wall is falling in.
Kodak 200 does well during golden hour! I will have to shoot more of this!
It also did well with dark gloomy skies and really flat light.
and a real test? Getting this shot! Figuring out how to fool the meter to gain this silhouette when it actually was not dark outside, I had at least 90 minutes of daylight left to shoot… however I was out of film!
This cheap combo of the Pentax MV, 50mm kit lens and Kodak 200 is actually pretty darn impressive!
