Frugal Film Project – Kevin Dillon – November

For November I went to Ashtabula, Ohio to shoot the lift bridge on the Ashtabula river and a few shots of the area leading to Lake Erie. Mostly, I wanted to experiment with filters to see how Ultrafine Xtreme 400 responded.

Since I had no red filter on me, I ended up using yellow and orange. Some of the orange filter shots seem ultra-dense and needed contrast added, so I am not quite sure where I went wrong with exposure, especially since I was shooting in aperture priority mode. Perhaps I wasn’t paying attention and just over-exposed?

I wasn’t even sure that I’d have anything to upload this month since my PC was giving me fits, with Picasa saying that it can not save files due to the hard drive being read-only or full. Looks like for whatever reason, Picasa no longer wants me to scan at very high-resolution…

  1. Picasa, now there’s a blast from the past. I didn’t realise it was still a thing, I used it for years 😺
